On November 15, 2008, my pictures from along the U.S./Mexico border will be shown as part of Slideluck Potshow in Washington, DC, helping to kick off FotoWeek/DC.
On June 21, 2008, pictures from my recent trip along the U.S./Mexico border were shown as part of Slideluck Potshow in Mexico City.
On May 28, 2008, I shared some of my pictures at a show put together by a friend of mine, Peter Maybarduk. Peter was my traveling companion on my recent trip along the U.S./Mexico border. He, along with jazz duo Heidi Boas & Peter Reppert, and singer/Spanish guitarist Marco Ovando, performed at Busboys and Poets (2021 14th St. NW, DC), and my pictures were set to music between sets.
On December 5, 2007 some of my images were featured at the holiday party thrown by powerHouse books in DUMBO, Brooklyn. The event was also cosponsored by stern magazine and Magnum Photos. Thanks to my agency WpN for making that happen.
If you weren't there, you missed out on loud music and some weird little cakes with the stern logo on them - and some good company.
October 31, 2006 was the opening reception for myself and the 100 other artists who have work on display as part of the inaugural John A. Wilson Building City Hall Art Collection. The exhibit will be on display and open to the public at DC's City Hall, the John A. Wilson Building, at 1350 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Mondays through Fridays from 9am - 5pm. See me quoted in the Washington Post about the show here.
Speaking of seeing me quoted, click here to read an interview I did over at Mário Venda Nova's Portuguese photography blog O Elogio da Sombra. The interview is published in both Portuguese and English.
